Festival of Sant Sebastià – Traditional Culture

12:00 PM: Parade of Capgrossos (Big-Headed Figures) through the streets and squares of the city, accompanied by grallers and drummers from Sant Feliu. Dance performance at Plaça del Mercat after the parade.Route: Plaça de Sant Joan (starting point), C/ Rutlla, C/ Joan Maragall, C/ Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer, La Rambla, C/ Anselm Clavé, Plaça del Mercat.4:30 PM: Giant Planting Ceremony and reception of the Old Giants of La Seu d’Urgell, the guests of honor, including the presentation of natural flower bouquets to the giantesses. Location: Plaça del Monestir.5:00 PM: Dance performances by guest groups, giants, and cavallets at Plaça del Monestir.Following the performances: Parade through the city center with the guest giants, antique giants, cavallets, and the Pillow Man of Sant Feliu de Guíxols.Route: Plaça del Monestir, C/ Hospital, C/ Joan Goula, Plaça del Mercat, C/ Anselm Clavé, La Rambla, Plaça de Sant Joan, C/ Hospital, and back to Plaça del Monestir.End of parade: Arrival at Plaça del Monestir and joint dance performance by all participating groups.In case of bad weather, all events will be moved to the Guíxols Arena tent. All activities are free of charge.
