SEPTEMBER FESTIVAL FROM HERE. CULTURE, GASTRONOMY AND LOCAL COMMERCE. The Juli Garreta Gardens are filled with local shops and gastronomy proposals, enlivened by all kind of activities and workshops for young and old, musical performances, dance and ganxona culture. A festival to enjoy the commerce, gastronomy and culture of Sant Feliu de Guíxols.

EASTER. LUMBLAB. FESTIVAL OF LIGHT. A festival in which the treatment of light plays an important role in multiple artistic proposals: indoor and outdoor spaces play with light, colours and shapes to give a new image to the city. Sant Feliu de Guíxols is a town with very visible identity traits, which come from elements such as the sea, the rich heritage, the historical legacy, the people... The Festival highlights these features by focusing on the sea and the lighthouse, a dialogue between two identifying elements that will help to deploy installations in different parts of the town.

FEBRUARY. We have one of the most important Carnivals of the Costa Brava. Plenty of local and regional groups take part in it. We have a great Carnival tradition with activities for children and adults. The events of our Carnival begin with a dinner for all the participating groups. The following day, the ex-Kings of the Carnival stroll around with "the Bomb" (traditional element) to give it to the new King. The official opening of the Carnival weekend takes place on Fat Thursday with a party for children and the presentation in the evening. Friday is the day of the big costume Parade; from 6pm on, about 63 groups with more than 3,500 participants will be involved in it. The fun continues on Sunday morning with the parade along the sea promenade. The Burial of the Sardine on Ash Wednesday puts an end to this festivity.

From DECEMBER to FEBRUARY. 

FEBRUARY - Sea Urchins Tasting  in the Juli Garreta Gardens. The tasting will include 6 sea urchins and a glass of cava.

WARNING: The sea urchins tasting has been cancelled because of the low production of sea urchins.

LENT. It's a Cod & Stockfish Gastronomic Campaign, which offers tasting of typical dishes that are based on this fish. Throughout the campaign, most restaurants in town offer menus based on these traditional fishes of the town.
